Here, you will find listings of members of the Newmarket & Area Branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers' Association. All members are highly qualified with certification and degrees in their specialized fields.

Teachers are located in the York Region area in the towns of Aurora, Bradford, King City, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, East Gwillimbury and Thornhill.

Private music instruction is usually given in the teacher's studio, however, in-home service is also available. Highly qualified and experienced teachers offer vocal, instrumental, and music theory lessons. Practical subjects taught include piano (or electronic piano), voice (or singing), violin, and school music (clarinet, flute, alto or tenor saxophone, and trumpet). Other subjects include rudiments, and theory (rudiments, harmony, history, analysis or counterpoint).  
 
Music studies often follow the 'graded' systems of recognized institutions. Educational goals may include the successful completion of the Royal Conservatory of Music or Conservatory Canada examinations; or the learning of popular or classical music for pleasure.
