Mary Jeanne Oliver, ARCT, MusBac, RMT

In 2010 Mary Jeanne Oliver was selected by the members of the Newmarket and Area branch of the Registered Music Teachers (RMT) for the Special  Teacher award.  She was pleased and proud of this award; it was the culmination of many years of teaching piano and theory in Aurora.

Mary Jeanne has a MusBac from U. of T. and an ARCT; she is an active member of ORMTA.  She enjoys teaching all ages of students at all levels.  Although she stresses the classics and preparation for RCM examinations, she is aware of  the many genres of music and her goals for her students include exposure to music in its broadest sense.  Besides preparing for Royal Conservatory of Music exams, her students regularly participate in recitals and auditions as well as other activities in the local ORMTA branch.
