Biography
Dr. Richard Heinzle is the director of Forte Music School in Richmond Hill. He teaches piano and theory.
He is organist and choir director at Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church. He also conducts the McConaghy Seniors Choir in Richmond Hill.
Richard has been organist at churches in Ottawa , North Bay , Calgary , Muncie ( Indiana ), and Brampton . Recently, he received a scholarship for achieving the highest mark in the Colleague examinations of the Royal Canadian College of Organists.
Richard has a B.A. degree from Carleton University , where he majored in piano and trumpet. For his M.M. ( University of Arkansas ) and his D.A. ( Ball State University , Muncie , Indiana ) he majored in orchestral conducting, with minors in theory and piano. While in Muncie , he was the assistant conductor of the Muncie Symphony, and the conductor of the Youth Orchestra. He has been guest conductor with the Kitchener-Waterloo Community Orchestra, the Lethbridge Symphony, and the Prince George Symphony Orchestra. In Ottawa he founded and conducted Vivace Orchestra on a tour of the Ottawa Valley , including a performance at the Governor General's Summer Concerts. He has conducted opera performances at Ball State University , University of Arkansas , and for Opera Breva in Ottawa.
